Pocketbike Racer (Xbox/Xbox 360, .WAD, .XBP, .XEN)

Post by phantaton »

I was going though the files of Pocketbike Racer today and noticed that some files use the typical blitz games .xen and .xbp archives. I tried using the quickbms scripts made for those formats to unpack the files but they were only partially successful at extraction. Here's some files as a reference:

There is also a couple of .WAD files in the game's root that appear to be for game data. I took a glance at dataXB1.wad in an text editor and it seems to be in an usual archive format. All of the folders/subfolders and the files that go inside of them are listed in the beginning of the archive. The other file, data360.wad seems to follow the same structure.

I found some debug info in the xbox version's .xbe that might be helpful for extracting the .wad file.
