Re: QuickBMS logo poll
I voted for the logo 3 !
Since the readability is more important btw all the people around world with different languages easier know it !
Also Do you really want to keep the name "QuickBms" intact?
Wanna see we can offer a list of words ?
May be something unbelievable rise up !
Or just you ignore all of them !
No cost ...
But honestly i don't like The word "QuickBms" Now at this it is not a simple scripting interface !
It sense something sacred to me !

Re: QuickBMS logo poll
Logo 3 may be a good choice, I will reconsider it.
quickbms is a name that everybody knows and it's there from almost 10 years so... no, definiterly no way I'm going to change it
quickbms supports more scripting languages than what you think eh eh eh
If you don't like the optimized mexscript language (based on the one made by mr.mouse decades ago) you can use C structs like:
quickbms even supports most of the the winhex templates.
If you have an additional documented language and it makes sense to add it, I can support for it in the next versions of the tool.
First I need to know what you don't like of the current language, it's so basic and simple that I can't believe you have problems with it

Re: QuickBMS logo poll
At all !
The bms script is excellent and i am professional with it !
But only today i heard that quickbms can run with various languages !
As you asked !
I have a request to add support for 010 editor binary template?
I think sweetscap 010 editor is the strongest hex editor !

Re: QuickBMS logo poll
010 editor uses C-like templates so the structs are compatible, just remember to remove the {} and "struct/typedef" lines and you can use them in quickbms.
Different story for the parts which are more like a programming language like the "for" cycles and so on.

This is the reason I love you a lot Luigi Auriemma !
Not only you but most of Italian children inherited Innate talent from their ancestors Aristotle , Plato , Archimedes...
And yes i will focus on importing 010 hex to quickbms and send feedbacks...
also the revese way to converting bms to hex template styles so that let us to inspect the archives is useful too

Mah... probably in another universe or in another Italy...

It's quite a lot of work to be honest, I mean a full 100% importing and exporting of 010 editor templates.
It's something I would like to see implemented and I added it in my TODO but it requires lot of testing and programming since 010 doesn't only use structures (the for cycles, variable assignments and so on).
Maybe one day with time and inspiration I could find a reliable and easy way to implement it.

Re: QuickBMS logo poll
Logo 1 imho.
reverse "C" representing reimporting-modding function of the tool and also completing the "K" letter's left side.
Also "BMS"s "M" should be thicker like "B" and "S".
