Pyre (Steam Game) Art extraction [Update: Looking for something specific]

Post by Foxbutt »

Hi,

I'm very new to all of this. I didn't really realize it took all this work to unpackage a game.

So, I'm trying to extract some art from a game called Pyre, specifically The Book of Rites.

Here's what it looks like:

I'm only interested in extracting the illustrations. There are a few file formats within the folders of this game like:

.pkg, .lua, .bik_atlas, .xml.. and more.

I'm not entirely sure where to start or what to even do to locate the art. I'd like to also add that the game is made with Monogame engine. I hope that somehow helps.

I would greatly appreciate the help and guidance.

Thank you!

Update:
I've managed to get into the .pkg files of the game using the methods detailed here:

I've just about found everything I need. I'm only specifically looking for the images highlighted in this screenshot.
