.pak file

Post by mint »

Hello, I can unpack the .pak file(http://*USE_ANOTHER_FILEHOSTING*/9fbb2e6 ... 109f/1.pak) using the command offzip.exe -z -15 -a input_archive output_folder 0, but is there any way to pack it and make it the same as the original file using quickbms? Thank you very much!

It's a game from Taiwan, called 風色幻想,I don't know how to translate it into English properly. Sorry.

From a technical point of view it's quite interesting because it's a modified zip file with only the central directory which is compressed and uses "OD" instead of "PK". Additionally it looks like the information for locating and extracting this central directory are encrypted and so the only way I had to find it was scanning the archive from its end... and it works :)
