Dangit, after years of play on this game (Wolfenstein Enemy Territory), I still, for the love of god can't get used to fonts that look bleeding crap.

Has anyone ever looked into games similar to Quake3 font system? I did hefty of times, thought I gave up many times so I got the 2.60b latest patch font folder uploaded here if anyone's interested in breaking the dats that seem like simple yet hard mapping files.

So fonts are simple bitmaps divided into four sizes, 16, 21, 27, 30 for both menu headings, buttons and in-game interface texts like the limbo class selection, reinforcements timer part of HUD, you get it. These come with usual mapping files in dat format. One which seems auto-generated, or is it not?

In conclusion I've always dreamt of changing Arial Black and Courier Bold to something more applicable that has diacritics too.

Neither games, the official 2003 release, nor ETLegacy, the awesome fan-made project build on top of id soft's public source code, I grown to love as well, offer font modding. SUUUUUUCKS to be playing widescreen. Its do or die, pfftt
