Sorry for the bump, but is it possible to repack this? Or is there a way for the game to read loose files?

The script is valid for reimporting so you can try using reimport2.bat.
More info in section 3 of http://aluigi.org/papers/quickbms.txt

Please note that there are some compressed and uncompresse CRC fields so the game may not like the new content.
