its all in the image, the program used, the version, who made it, the settings to display the first submesh .... :)

I could open it with the tool named SPICA.
however, only some bcmdl files

I am ignorant, so I really need a help...

Do exists a simple way to extract .bcmdl from encrypted?, decrypted?, cia? version of nintendo .3ds ?
What type of .3ds is needed to unpack and what soft - 3ds explorer?
Please help.

I ripped them from the game cartridge.

as far as I know it about 'rom hacking', not '3D/2D models format'.
I think that it is not appropriate on this forum.

Here is some progress.
Got meshes for characters and stages with uv.
This format use too much relativ offsets.

Updated 2018-03-20:
-uv+weights+bones
-try import costume first and next hands, head and hair for transform
-don't know how decode images so no autotexturing

How use - not for noob:
- only for Blender 249b users

ooh, could you extract bones and vertex weights from them, too?
'\equip\***_FACE.bcmdl' almost could not referred with existing tools.

I found some non-imported meshes...
looks like the following mesh is lost.
CRI_FACE.bcmdl > vertex-weighted Hi-Poly Face
LEI_DLC000.bcmdl > skinmeshes of arms and legs.
