Destroy All Humans! (PS2, .DIR, .PKG)

Post by Doctor Loboto »

Well with the recent "remaster" of this game for PS4, I've taken up interest in the series again. I'm hoping to extract models and textures, but first I need help with the base archives. They come in PKG format, with a single DIR file in the folder with them. This is a zip containing one folder's worth of files, which is pretty minimal. Can anyone figure out a way to get the files out of these?

Is it the only file you shared?

I think it would be better to locate the sound files.

You want the music, right? It's lots easier to just get the songs from YouTube.

He didn't ask for a YouTube link.

No, I don't want the music. I want the whole STREAM file to help the author decoding those. I don't know how to help with filecutted files.

actually it doesn't, there is no need for anyone to upload ~530 MB of music samples when all music is already on youtube.
jackzerobear already uploaded a perfectly good smaller sample set from the game for analysis and they are not "filecutted" :)

True, Acewell!

Also, this has been asked twice before with no avail, once by Mygoshi, once by me.
