Alarm für Cobra 11: Highway Nights: FrontEnd.ds file

Post by carcrazedalex586 »

Now this game is not very well-known, due to its criticism for poor voice acting and boring missions, but the series has a big German modding community. So, Mercedes-Benz World Racing, World Racing 2, Alarm für Cobra 11: Nitro, Alarm für Cobra 11: Das Syndikat and Alarm für Cobra 11: Undercover's database files can be opened, but when one tries to open Alarm für Cobra 11: Burning Wheels, Ferrari Virtual Race or Alarm für Cobra 11: Highway Nights' database files in WR EditCar, it comes up with an error. When I ask "How do I open these games' database files and collect the default cars' values for modding for other games by Synetic?" elsewhere, people suggest me to make up values all by myself. I don't want to do that. I want to collect the cars' values no matter how people don't want me to! So, here's a sample of Highway Nights' FrontEnd.ds file: https://www.mediafire.com/?gfq5gg8ec76v0gs

Usually when you have a program that supports a format shared between various games of the same developers (like in this case), the best option is contacting who wrote the tool asking support to him.

In this case I guess the author of this tool is Krom:
https://github.com/Kromster80/wr_toolkit

Have you checked if there are updated versions of WC EditCar? Maybe you are using an old version
Have you already contacted Krom?

The file you provided contains just text so, worst case scenario, you can ever opt for the "lame" editing with a hex editor.

You can talk with Krom in my facebook group, but he already said he's not interested in updating his tools.

And he'll never be interested? No one to help me? Can I give up already? Also, why would you want to let me to talk to Krom when he's not interested? You want me to make him interested and he'll do it?
