Re: Gameloft's BDAE files
Here is a sample of the 3 different compression or format. https://drive.google.com/open?id=1khEGm ... ZlCJ49OcjK First one works perfectly in noesis, 2nd one needs to be edited in Hex Editor (delete everything before BRES), and 3rd one doesn't open with anything and if it does, pieces of the mesh is missing. Hopefully someone can be able to extract these models with bones cause theres over 200+ spiderman models.

Re: Gameloft's BDAE files
That's because they're zip files. Rename your last two files as .zip and unzip them.

as I said, the 3rd one pieces of the mesh is missing even with your zip method.

Working away on getting these archived on DA. Some things of note are UU3d cannot retain the bones on saving? Also though UU3d can be used to get all the information about a specific model strait away, the counts and positions and such which I figure should be useful for the previous program discussed here.

I believe it's called Car Tycoon Overdrive City, and no, I don't have that app. This post was made over a year ago.

Overdrive City is a new game, so it doesn't load into uu3d, but give it a few days, i'm sure they'll support it.

Re: Gameloft's BDAE files
Hey!
I started ripping files from LSW Castaways video game (Gameloft game) and I also get bdae files that I can't read. It seems they had the GCBF header so I managed to convert them to dat files, but now I have a brres header. Can someone tell me what to do with these files??
you will find bdae files with their converted dat files.
PLEASE does anyone know how to read BRRES files?

Re: Gameloft's BDAE files
because I can't understand anything from hex2obj or something similar.
I'm actually only interested in a single 3d model, which is in the game the dark knight rises; it deals with batman's flying vehicle, The Bat.
If you can extract this model for me, I'll send the files to you, ok?
I was able to open the 3d model in Ultimate Unwrap 3d, but the program only imports the .bdae, but does not export, even if you buy the paid and full version of the program.
thank you for your attention

You're replying to an old post from years ago. Just post the files here, we don't have them.

That is a strange looking vehicle. Can you post the textures that go with it? I would like to know if the UVs are correct or not.

Re: Gameloft's BDAE files
here are the textures of THE BAT, coredevel.
Well, considering the other batwing models of batman, this one is really different, but I think it's cool, I just don't understand why they changed the name from batwing to THE BAT.
have you managed to extract the model so? they are sending you some pictures so you can see how it looks in the movie

Re: Gameloft's BDAE files
I remember seeing the movie, but I guess it was so black, I don't remember the shape of it.
btw, models are usually stored in a default T-pose, so if the model animates into a different pose, you won't see that here, like any moving mechanical parts (e.g. bat wings).
Thanks for the textures. I now see that the UVs are not correct. They're flipped on the Y-axis, and they're scaled too much on X-axis. And the .tga textures are not real .tga textures. They are .pvr textures. I would rename them and load with the PVRTexTool.
Still working on it, trying to fix the UVs.

Re: Gameloft's BDAE files
ok, here's the bat model converted to wavefront .obj. I also included the converted texture.
The model has 4 LODs, but I only kept the highest poly LOD. And I fixed the UVs.
And there is a material referencing a "windows_mat", however, no glass plane was found. Not really sure if this is a separate mesh that's missing or if the model has no glass. But, that's the best I can do.

sensational coredevel, it was very good.
I would really like to return the favor by sending you 2 3d models from my private collection. I'll send you pictures of them later, ok
thank you very much for your attention and the amazing 3d model sent to me

Re: Gameloft's BDAE files
is there a way to convert this .bdae file from N.O.V.A 2 by Gameloft to obj? the textures are in .PVR so I can handle PVR Textures. if it's possible to write a noesis script for import.

Re: Gameloft's BDAE files
yes, i need to see the textures too (original format ok). UVs can be scaled or flipped, so I need to match up the UVs with the texture. does no good converting a model that doesn't match its skin.
