Does anyone of a method of extracting usable information (specifically the 3d models) from the .dat files I extracted?
I managed to use aluigi's script to unpack the files contained in the .00X files, and found many .mus and .dat files with the majority being .dat files. Many of the files have the same name.
The mus files do not play with mus players. They start with MUSX PP PS3_ when opened in hexedit, however when I tried to rename it .musx and play it with a musx player it didn't work either(The player I used worked with musx rips from other ps3 games)
The .sbn files start with SBNK *FRE PP in hexedit.
The .geo files start with GEOM@ in hexedit. They are all 1KB
The .aac files start with gibberish and are not playable.
There are also _ch, _n_, _na, 1xb, 3d2, 3f8, 8ab, au8, cba, chg, d6a, arj, hpr, j4_, kic, nqp, nrj, uvb, 89g, 326, app, bea, cik, czd, u8g, zef, rec, mp3, txt files and more. The txt files and mp3 files were unopenable
The rest of the files are all .dat files and they don't all start with the same thing, and what they start with isn't readable. They range in size from 1KB to over 200KB. Most of all the files come in pairs of files with the same filename.
I cannot figure out a way to open any of these files, although I suspect that files with the same names are a large file that was split into two or more smaller files. I would really appreciate any help with this.
