MUSIC.ZSD : MFAudio (Ok) - VGMtoolbox (Offset issue)

Post by DCX6723 »

Hello,

MUSIC.ZSD (Source) : https://mega.nz/#!vZIXSAoC!lGYZVLSNefWT ... 7HYyB4jQMo

When I try to rip MUSIC.ZSD from BMX XXX (PS2) in MFAUDIO, I use theses settings :
- 44100kHz
- Interleave : 800 bytes
- Offset : 800 bytes
- Channels : 2
- No loops

The wav output file works but the software gives me some clicks at a channel, it's completely an outdated software anyway.

So i want to convert it using VGMToolbox, but I'm lost when I have to use the offset details, it gives me a corrupt .genh on foobar.

I need help for finding the correct values in VGMTollbox :
- Use offset : 0x800 or 800 ?
- Offset size : ?
- Byte order : ?

Thanks a lot for the help!

Try to run mfaudio on the files extracted with this script:

Thanks a lot aluigi!

However, there is some mistakes in the decoder :
- Track : 00000000.dat (2min22 of music instead of 3min05, track plays fine however)
- Track : 00000015.dat (1min45 of music instead of 3min31, literraly missing one channel)

All others tracks play fine however, no issues.

Thanks if you can have a look on it!

The extraction is just a simple offset to offset dumper using the offsets provided by the same archive so there is nothing I can do about those 2 files.

Okay, well it creates some extra tracks like :
- 0000001a.dat
- 0000001b.dat
- 0000001c.dat
- 0000001d.dat
- 0000001e.dat
- 0000001f.dat
- 0000001b.dat

And the original interleave value I used doesn't work anymore on some of theses music file.
I would like to know if this is really normal or not, thanks.

I'm not an expert in vag audio but I remember it happened sometimes (when I did some tests years ago) to have files from the same archive with different interleave.
