Gameloft's Magic Kingdoms

Post by nicociri »

So, first things first: longtime anonymous lurker, first time posting. Amazing forum! I usually end up solving things either with DX Ripper or Ninja Ripper. But now win10, android or IOS exclusives are making this stuff harder for the likes of me who just want a particular 3d scene ripped.

And win 10 is the reason for this post. I'm working with the win10 version of the app 'cause i originally wanted to just ninja-rip it with no luck.

Managed to locate a UI.zip file inside a DLC folder. it is the only folder where i found something resembling gameloft models: BDAE files. No GLA, a few PAK (with GHLSL files only) but nothing that would indicate models.

So tried to import them in MAX using Chipicao's GT Racing 2 importer. Again, no luck this time either.
Max first tells me "unable to find dependancies.txt Textures will not be applied". I thought BDAE files included textures?

Anyway, i click ok and get an error "Incompatible Types 0, and undefined"

Guess they either are not model files, or they are a new type of BDAE model.

I have the game on my ipad too.. i'll see if i can extract something off of it...

Any help would be appreciated!

Not my field but, considering that these bdae files you provided are just ZIP archives, is it possible that you have to run the Chipicao's tool (or any other tool) on the bdae files extracted from these ZIP archives?
Because they contain files with the bdae extension and with the "BRES" magic that is a known magic as far as I remember.
