Game : TDU2
Version : Xbox 360
What i want to accomplish : Allow any DDS image to be used as a sticker for any car in game
Reason : To allow much better sticker creation for xbox users (like texmod method for pc)
Details:
Hello. I was referred here by Sethioz. I have been trying to find any information on the .STI proprietary file format created by the French company Eden Games. My known information is this :
-stored as a specially modified version of .DDS (known from the header containing 2dbmap, the games natural format which already has a dds converter)
-visible online
-header seems byteswapped
Other information on my findings : http://forums.maco64.com/topic/7086203/1/
Any help in cracking this Graphic Format is much appreciated. Ive been at it for a long time, but sadly i do not have skills adequate to complete the job. Thank you very much.

*bump*
Can someone check if this file is encrypyed? Afaik the game doesnt use another filetype just for stickers. It may be XTEA, which i think is rather common to the game TDU2.

Try to upload a sample file.
TDU had 2 keys for xtea but it's not clear what the second one was used for.
I don't know what's the situation of TDU2 but I can give it a quick look.

Heres a huge pack of sample files. Iirc these are converted .png files. But they do in fact work.

Let me see if i can find some original created files.
EDIT: found these but if youre in the USA youll have to spoof your IP address to another country.

Re: TDU2 Xbox 360 .STI
Chaotic file format.
There are many different files, one png is complete while the others seem to have an obfuscated header (you see IEND but no PNG) and they are all parts of what seems a sort of header.
The files are all aligned to 0x1000.
In my opinion the file table (where are contained all the offset/size of the archives files) is obfuscated, this is visible in AVATAR where are located various jpeg images, "PHOTO" and "4ax" files but I don't see their sizes.
So I can extract nothing but you can rip the files manually, I don't have other suggestions.

Hmm.. Afaik AVATAR shouldnt show up in the .STI files? Those are the only ones im interested in. Ill see if i can upload my own files later. They should be able to be decrypted to DXT5 DDS files, sonce thats what they should be based on.
