Will pay $ for speedrunning glitches in G-Force.

If nobody is able to help for free... let's try this way. No sellers allowed.

Will pay $ for speedrunning glitches in G-Force.

Post by BlueMustache »

Hello Community,
I am a speedrunner who is new to this community.
For months my friend and I have been trying to pioneer a speedrun for the game "G-Force: The Video Game".
To many, it sucks. Honestly I don't blame them, but for some reason I got hooked. You could say I have been doing this for a while.

I haven't put down a set sum yet of what I will pay, but I am happy to pay it. Let's say we start at a quick $20, depending on what is found.
I know that this is quite a skilled community of 1,300+ members, and I'm confident that you will make me raise my wager. ;)
So, as far as glitches we know how to execute, here is a list.

Known

Not as helpful

Would Like to Know
    Anything!
Ceiling Clip in Ch 2 first map. (Can't find the video now, must have been deleted.)
There is no footage, but I came back to my idle game after a long list of irrepeatable computer states, I found my game running, but no enemies were attacking, and my player model was gone.

This game is well made to a point.
For a game made after a movie, the game was much better than the movie. Way cooler and less cheesy.
Now that I'm off my soap box, the game has many secrets bugs waiting to be found.
Weird stuff happens, clipping, dying and floating (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FGmy9Uag7sY), weird unrepeatable bugs.
Any thing will be helpful. I have 3 free copies of the game on Steam, if someone wants one.
What might help the most is decompiling the game. It is just a single exe that hooks into directx and reads archives for it's assets. The game is vulnerable to directx middlemanning, and I was able to extract model from the game.
I know programming, but debugging a "in-house" engine is not my thing. Hit me up if you have any Source engine questions though.

Like I said, anything is helpful.
Remember, I will pay. The more quantity / or quality of glitches you find, the more money.
I take this seriously. Send me a PM, and I can add you on Steam, Skype, or Gmail.
Thanks,
-Thomas

Side note. We have not finished speedrunning the game. This is just a good chunk to show off the bugs we have found. Clipping brushes and triggers are our enemies.
