Virtual Pool 4 .dae file model

I need some help here.
Can't understand what kind of 3d file is this (.dae extention).
It's not real collada(.dae) file.
Please someone explain how to open, edit or create new.

Here's a script you can use to import the .dae files into max. Only tested on 2015 though.
