Having issues with the ALAR script - [solved]

Post by Crucius »

I've been trying to extract models from an obscure Wii game called "Pandora's Tower". So far no one else has done this before.

Supposedly the .aar files which contain the game-models are related to so called ALAR archives.

I did make sure to get the latest version of quickbms along with the required script (alar.bms) to unpack said file-format but no luck so far.

Error: incomplete input file 0: [...]\event\model\seres.aar

Can't read 32 bytes from offset a408ffde.
Anyway don't worry, it's possible that the BMS script has been written
to exit in this way if it's reached the end of the archive so check it
or contact its author or verify that all the files have been extracted.
Please check the following coverage information to know if it's ok.

coverage file 0 0% 36 447328 . offset a408ffde

Last script line before the error or that produced the error:
39 getdstring NAME 0x20
coverage file 0 0% 36 447328 . offset a408ffde

I did include a zipped version of the experimental .aar file which I was trying to unpack. Anyone know how to overcome this issue I'm having?

---EDIT---
I've received some help about this right here: viewtopic.php?f=9&t=16613
