wartales localization
Hi.
I want to translate a game called wartales by shiro games.
the text is in a res.pak file.
quickbsm 11 unpacks it with the script of the QuickBMS for Northgard package, but it gives this error:
"00000000183680a7 40321504 chars\Clothes\ops
- it's not possible to create that file due to its filename or related
incompatibilities (for example already exists a folder with that name), so
now you must choose a new filename for saving it.
if you press ENTER a new name will be generated automatically.
- old: chars\Clothes\ops
- new:"
whatever I do next, the repackaging fails, even if I don't change it.
the text is in a 2.5 GB 0000000000000f48.dat file, but this is a next problem.

Re: wartales localization
the problem is that it doesn't unpack it so that it can be put back. it only makes sense to compile it if I can put the modified file back. but I can't, I guess because of the error it gives when I make the exception.
plus the one with the text is 2.5 GB.
But I can put it on https://mega.nz if that's OK.

Quickbms has the option to import
create a bat with this command.
Code: Select all
quickbms -G -w -r -r
and do the same process you did to extract.
but it seems the unpack is not 100% right is it?

Re: wartales localization
yes, I think so too.
but in principle, when repackaging, you only need to select the modified file.
it is 00000000000000000f48.dat.
but when unzipping it says not enough resources.
" offset filesize filename
--------------------------------------
\
- error in src\extra\xalloc.c line 618: xdbg_malloc()
Error: memory allocation problem
There are insufficient memria-erforrs to process the command."
in English: There are not enough resources to process the command.

Re: wartales localization
when I start the reimport, it sends an error:
Error: memory allocation problem
my computer has 16 GB of RAM. is this too little?
Let's say the unzipped folder is 10 GB.

Re: wartales localization
it occurs to me that maybe it's not the unpacking that's the problem, because it's in a part that doesn't need to be changed, so it's better to delete it from the target folder in the first place, but the real problem is that it doesn't restore the .dat file because it refers to low memory. i've seen a bug like this from someone else on zenhax. what do you think about it?
