[PC] Elden Ring (.BDT / .BHD)

Hi everyone

Elden Ring is finally out but it looks like FromSoftware has changed up the game archives a bit from Dark Souls.

The game uses Kraken compression from what I can find.

Here is 100MB of each primary data archive as well as the full header file.

Hopefully someone can make a working BMS script to extract these.

well, a little bit has passed by to the point it became "more than a week" and nothing.
to reiterate, there is no unpacker for the game files and there won't be until a miracle happens from nowhere in which we're blessed with an extractor that can do said files justice.
so no, Ekey can't "unpack the model". in fact, not one single person that's interested in the game files can do it without massive reverse-engineering and programming efforts to make this thing possible in the first place.

and the number of people who can do that is decreasing by each day, and the rest won't be going out of their way to figure out how the game reads bhd+bht files so they can get what they wanted in the first place. it's just not practical.

with all that said, here's an non-misleading response for everyone else interested in the game files. again, you can't unpack a thing from the game files because nothing exists that can unpack the thing you want.

in fact, here are the responses from people who aren't straight-up geniuses:
How do you extract the files? I've found these keys, can decrypt the bhd files, but no joy on extracting the bdt files so far.

How to update this tool

how to use those keys? who has Elden Ring language pack to share

How do I get a list of files and create a dictionary.cs file?
Should I use bhd files?
Some of the information in bhd seems to be encrypted.

and the post above my post.

for the people involved (which right now seems to be one person so far) in making an unpacker possible, please PLEASE PLEASE make your efforts friendly to the many people in this planet who don't share your skillsets, otherwise you get this shit.
that's why the only cyberpunk 2077 RDAR thread that exists here failed. someone was confused about the whole thing, asked whatever needed asking, and no one was there to answer.

just say something simple, like "i'm working on trying to make elden ring unpacker to work, please be patient. i'll get there when i'll get there." or somesuch. it takes only seconds if not minutes to say such a simple thing. instead we get "wait a little bit, maybe X will do something with it". seeing responses like this are so frustrating, i'm not having any of it, STOP

Yeah, that kind of attitude wont get you anywhere here. There was a new tool created for the files. You can find it on the discord. Good luck.

i was literally just laughing about this until i realized it really is a *SPAM* ad hominem. but it's so well executed it actually *SPAM* hurts.
no, actually, it's like being put in a coma in a rather quick succession. how mean-spirited must you be to actually do this? what did i do to deserve this?

i was pretty OK with UXM 2.4 ER since i got it from a discord server that someone posted an invite to in this thread (right after being told to *SPAM* off by someone else no less) but this'll do nicely just as well.

Is there a tool to convert ER flever file? I've used all kinds of existing tools(Dark Souls 3, Bloodborne, Sekiro) but they all had serious problems. 3d max import script could not import ER flever file, and Bloodborne and Sekiro's tools could convert flever file, but severely twisted the bones of the model..

Zaramot's max script performed well when importing the Dark Soul 3 models. If the structure of elden ring is similar to DS3, I think we can get a similar result by modifying this script a little and applying it to the ER models.Is there anyone who can provide new ER (convert or import) script?
