Getting model rigs from Giana Sisters: Twisted Dreams

Post by GianaSistersFan64 »

Hello. I have trouble getting weight and bone datas of several files from Giana Sisters: Twisted Dreams.

To specify, the model meshes and rigs are separated from different files. The meshes are in files called "rendermesh" (which are located in it own archive) while the weight and bones are in other files called "rendershape". These files use 64-bit integers for certain offset fields.
Bigchillghost made a extractor for the meshes, but there's nothing yet for the rest. My trouble is can't and don't know how to merge both of these files to get the models rigged. I asked help on XeNTaX about this subject, but I got no attention. I tried to use SkelBuilder myself, but from my difficulties of understanding, I quickly gave up.
Here's the rendermesh files : http://www.mediafire.com/file/tk1ec4sw6 ... s.zip/file
and here's a sample rendershape file took from level 1-4 : https://www.mediafire.com/file/fvacpfq0 ... s.zip/file
For more infos : https://forum.xentax.com/viewtopic.php?t=23150

Note that these files were took from the Switch version of the game. In the PC version, it's a bit different ; the files use 32-bit integers and rendermesh files are located in level datas. Also its doesn't contain every models of the game, only the required models for the level.
Here's samples I took from a level : https://www.mediafire.com/file/luq5aho7 ... 1.zip/file

Maybe someone could build a tool or a script? Helps would be appreciated.

I hope my post isn't too confusing. If it is, tell me to clarify.

This would go in animation formats.

Animation formats?
Speaking of it, animations are located in files with the x86 extension. Here they are : http://www.mediafire.com/file/4y9agc8ck ... d.zip/file
However, I don't believe they contain the default poses of the models.

Meh...

Other than that, does anyone know a tool that allow us to view skeleton data that is easy to use?
