Baldur's gate dark alliance PC (GOG)?
So, I'm trying to get the music out of the PC release of Baldur's GAte dark alliance. I thought it would be the same as the GC release, but it is not. In fact I can't even see the audio files anymore. Has anyone glanced at it, by chance?

Phew, headerless IMA ADPCM streams inside the *.v* files. I'm pretty much out - no idea how to construct a working IMA header.
If anyone wants to give it a shot, here's an example.

I guess I've covered every human emotion there is during the last years...
Maybe nobody would have guessed back then after a year or two but I'm finally coming back to the scene.
If you have any IMA ADPCM samples with different frequencies and channels, feel free to dm me. Been searching for a way to finally get these to play back then and still now. Already have some header-less streams sitting on my hdd.

Let's just say I was really hoping you would. Even I have made some contributions to the scene!

the excellent VGM stream authors provided me with this answer:
It's just XBOX IMA but offsets must be in another file. .txth example:
codec = XBOX
channels = 2
sample_rate = 48000
start_offset = 0x1C65E8
num_samples = data_size

Hm, I might actually give this a try... thanks.
Only a workaround in my opinion as this will clutter up folders really quickly.

I agree, but apparently that's a solution quite liked, since it allows to store all sorts of data in the container.

If you have an example of one of these ".v" files I can have a look, if they're not too large. Hopefully they will contain all the info to make the file playable.

Isn't one of them here?

Yeah, there's a .vbg sample above, but I wasn't sure if that was taken from a larger archive or whether that's just the file as it is in the folders.
