102 Dalmatians (PC) - PKG file

Post by frogz2007 »

Wanted to switch character models and such. All the assets seem to be in this huge (over 200 MB) PKG file, and I used the filecutter script on it so I don't have to upload the whole archive.

both files (in a 7z file)

Would be interesting to know if the script works also with other games developed by Crystal Dynamics:

Thanks for the script! In regards to if it'll work with other games made by the same company, I'll see what i can do. Oh, and I came across a "roadblock" of sorts. I get these DAT files. Any way those could be extracted, too?

I don't have the minimal idea of what it is :D
I guess it's a raw image or "maybe" compressed audio (but don't think because the game uses RIFF wav for that).

Oh, I see. Oh, and i checked a different game made by the same company, that was made in 2001, and Disney based, but it has a different extension under the name "PKR". Tried the script on one, and it didn't work.

If you want to provide the samples I will make a script for them too.

That archive contains just one file ("RIFF"), do you have also other samples containing more files?

Well, archive does not contain fields with file names. Perhaps for PKG there is some kind of index or manifest file.

He made that scripts based on the archive format, sometimes additional files may be attached to them that contain, for example, information about file names.
