Creating and modifying .SDT files

Post by MCGuy2009 »

Hey all; I've been recently wondering this question, and is there anything known about creating or modifying .SDT files, specifically the Electronic Arts sound data file format? I've been wondering this since I've been trying to analyze two files that hold music in Theme Park Inc. (also known as SimCoaster) that, for whatever reason, also contain a bunch of glitched up data which cause the music in the second and third parks to bug out and either play a bunch of static or not play at all, going into silence, when those files are read.
I am aware that programs that read them, such as Dragon UnPACKer and MAStudio2000, exist and I have used them, but I'm wondering if there's any information on creating an .SDT file from scratch and how it works so I could, in theory, make new SDT files to replace the buggy ones or modify the bugs out of them so they'd work as intended.
