How to extract from Call Of Arms/Gates of Hell

Post by jblagrz12 »

I need some help on extracting models from Call of Arms: Gates of Hell; but have no idea how I would go around doing so. Can anyone enlighten me on the process?

Being a game developed on the GEM2 engine, I suggest you to search for topics related to the "Men of War" game on both here on this forum and on xentax.

In this case the archive .pak files are simple. zip files, so just extract the following .pak files to a temporary folders using the Total Commander:

\Call to Arms Gates of Hell Ostfront\resource\entity\construction.pak
\Call to Arms Gates of Hell Ostfront\resource\entity\entity.pak
\Call to Arms Gates of Hell Ostfront\resource\map.pak

After it you can convert the *.ply (3d model) and .mtl (material) files to other file format like Wavefront .obj/mtl files using the following registered programs:

- 3D Object Converter v8.010 (Windows)
- i3DConverter v4.007 (macOS)
- i3DConverter v2.007 (Linux)

How to get the 3D Object Converter v8.010:
Download the 3D Object Converter from http://3doc.i3dconverter.com and install it or download and use the portable version.
After it just use the Help/Check for updates... function to get the v8.010.

How to get the i3DConverter macOS v4.007:
Download the i3DConverter from http://www.i3dconverter.com and install it.
After it just use the Help/Check for updates... function to get the v4.007.

How to get the i3DConverter Linux v2.007:
Download the i3DConverter from http://www.i3dconverter.com and install it.
After it just use the Help/Check for updates... function to get the v2.007.
