Post by SamuraiOndo »

Ok, hi, I was wondering if anyone had any information on this file type for this game. It is a .model file with header of 46 42 4D 46 (FBMF).
WHITETAIL.zip
Thanks!

Could you upload or send me (3dconverter@gmail.com) some other .skin files with its texture files?

Yes, I will gladly send them to you. I'll just send you the whole animal model folder.

Update: Emailed them

Thank you, this helps a lot! Unfortunately, it seems like the data for each animal varies. Would you mind explaining how you figured out these values?

Thank you for your full sample files.
I have tested my loader module on all files.
Here I attached the converted file in Wavefront .obj/mtl formats.

I have downloaded the game and I have unpacked the data.arc sucessfully. I am testing my program on characters and vehicles.

I have added the Cabela’s Outdoor Adventures 2006 .skin loader module to the following programs:

- 3D Object Converter v8.009 (Windows)
- i3DConverter v4.006 (macOS)
- i3DConverter v2.006 (Linux)

How to get the 3D Object Converter v8.009:
Download the 3D Object Converter from http://3doc.i3dconverter.com and install it or download and use the portable version.
After it just use the Help/Check for updates... function to get the v8.009.

How to get the i3DConverter macOS v4.006:
Download the i3DConverter from http://www.i3dconverter.com and install it.
After it just use the Help/Check for updates... function to get the v4.006.

How to get the i3DConverter Linux v2.006:
Download the i3DConverter from http://www.i3dconverter.com and install it.
After it just use the Help/Check for updates... function to get the v2.006.
