Ultimate Asset Extractor [spam / theft]

Post by irmak88 »

*edit by aluigi*
This "program" is just a collection of tools, scripts and material of other people, shamefully and unprofessionally edited and renamed.
*end of edit*

Ultimate Asset Extractor is a program that can extract game assets from more than 150 games. Currently, it's only 153 games but I will always add more games. I was designing it as a CryEngine Pak Extractor. But then, I decided to add more games so I ended up at 150+ games. But it still contains %90 of CryEngine games right now. Also, for some games, you can convert or open the models that you extracted. It's a python-based program, but its not open source. If you encounter any bugs or if you want to make a game suggestion/improvement, just report here or to our page(you can access from the report button) or just email to arwglacy@hotmail.com. Here's the help section:

1 - Choose the game that you want to extract from Combobox.
2 - Choose the game exe.If its a PS4, PS3, XBOX360, or XBOX ONE game, you may not choose.
3 - Choose the archives/models you want to extract. I recommend you not choose the entire archives of the game. You can select and copy the archives only that you want to extract to a separate folder.
4 - Choose the output location.
5 - After you choose everything, if it's available, you will have to choose some options from right under Combobox.
(Example: You need to choose how to retrieve the RSA key to the program from radio buttons in CryEngine Games. Or in the games that compressed with Oodle, you have to browse and select the oodle dll from the game directory.)
6 - Finally hit the Extract button and the program will extract all of the possible components from archives to output directory in a folder or in a zip(Most likely in CryEngine games).
7 - You can import directly some models and textures to blender or 3dsMax by first setting directories from menubar, then press the button you want.
(Important Note: CryEngine .dae files are not supported totally in the blender. They do not work at all on 2.90, and for other versions; a few of the models may be problematic. I am working on that right now.

Is this spam or what?

Your website was created one month ago, links to mediafire, no previous experiences (your github only has one python script) and in a niche sector where already exist open source/free stable tools like PakDecrypt (where you admittted got all the code), Noesis, GARBro, QuickBMS, GameExtractor, tons of other small game/engine-specific tools, and so on.

I'm sure you have good intentions but you only have one post and it's a "buying" post...

This is pretty much pointless/useless. 0 reason to pay for things like this.

No, of course, it's not spam. I'm not too active in Zenhax about posting, but I am interested in this stuff for a year. I just wanted to create a software that includes many games that people mostly like with all my knowledge. I know that my first post here is being a buying post is a bit unpleasant but It completely has good intentions.

This is nothing more than a compiled mess of other peoples work. The installer is ~600mb because of how it's made. It's literally a mess.
The main installer is Inno which extracts out some runtime dlls and an exe that is the main bulk of 550mb.
The main exe is a PyInstaller bundled exe to bundle all the things this contains and is packed with.

In the free version he links, there are the following folders:
- BMS
- DRD
- FST
- HALO
- Images
- Include
- ISC
- KNM
- LOG
- MTF
- MTR
- NoAnim
- OODLE
- PakDecrypts
- PyQt5
- PYZ-07.pyz_extracted
- ReEngine
- SCRIPTS
- TOOLS
- VCS

Let's cover some of these per-folder to give some scope of how much you didn't actually do and are trying to profit off others work.

BMS:
- AlienIsolation.bms - Stolen with credits removed from: http://aluigi.zenhax.com/bms/alien_isolation.bms
- CallofDutyBlackOps3.bms - Stolen with credits removed from: https://aluigi.altervista.org/bms/cod_kapi.bms
- CastlevaniaLordsofShadow.bms - Stolen with credits removed from: https://aluigi.altervista.org/bms/castlevania.bms
- CastlevaniaLordsofShadow2.bms - Stolen from: https://forum.xentax.com/viewtopic.php?t=5102&start=75
- Crysis2.bms - Stolen with credits removed from: http://aluigi.zenhax.com/bms/crysis2.bms

And the list goes on for 31 scripts total, none of which are by you.

DRD:
This folder contains multiple unpackers that are just copied from ZenHax and Xantax forums. All you did was change the icon to yours on them, you completely left other peoples copyrights, credits, info etc. in tact. Great job trying to steal those!

FST:
Contains your own self-branded/self-compiled version of BinderTool, which is not yours from:

Code: Select all

https://github.com/Atvaark/BinderTool

HALO
Contains your self-branded/self-compiled version of HaloWwise, which is not yours from:

Code: Select all

https://github.com/Nibre/HaloWwise

ISC
Contains various tools stolen from cra0kalo.com that again you rebranded and put your icon on. These are all 'Insomniac Asset Extractor' files renamed, again you left all the actual info on the files.

KNM
Contains GzsTool, which you tried to rename and steal as 'FoxTool' and put your name on. This is stolen from:

Code: Select all

https://github.com/Atvaark/GzsTool

You even left the namespace names as the original GzsTool, jesus christ you are bad at this...

LOG
Contains 'Legend of Grimrock' extractor which you stole from EKey from this forum.

Code: Select all

https://www.zenhax.com/viewtopic.php?f=17&t=251

MTF
Contains FluffyQuacks ARC unpacker/extractor from:

Code: Select all

https://residentevilmodding.boards.net/thread/481/arc-unpacker-repacker-v0-428

Which again you tried to reicon, rename and credit yourself for.

MTR
Contains 3 unpackers, all of which are stolen.

Code: Select all

 - MetroExodusUnpack - Stolen from: https://zenhax.com/viewtopic.php?t=9523
 - ReduxUnpack - Stolen from: <Unsure who originally wrote it, but its circulated all over the place as unpackerRedux.exe, again not yours. ie https://zenhax.com/viewtopic.php?t=1869)
 - StarWarsBattlefront2Unpack - Stolen from: https://forum.xentax.com/viewtopic.php?f=16&t=17114

OODLE
Contains a few unpackers, all of which are stolen.

Code: Select all

 - DeathStranding_Unpack - Same file as 'HorizonZeroDawn', just renamed. (Stolen from: https://zenhax.com/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=13250)
 - HorizonZeroDawn - Stolen from: https://zenhax.com/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=13250
 - RedDeadRedemption2_Unpack - Stolen from: https://zenhax.com/viewtopic.php?t=12388
 - TheOrder1886_Unpack - Stolen from: https://forum.xentax.com/viewtopic.php?f=16&t=18263

PakDecrypts
Contains the 'PakDecrypt' tool with just the RSA key changed as explained by me and others, done by others on this forum and many other sites. Again, not by you.

ReEngine
Contains RETool from FluffyQuack. Stolen from here:

Code: Select all

https://residentevilmodding.boards.net/thread/10567/pak-tex-editing-tool

SCRIPTS
Contains a copied CryEngine Blender script.

TOOL

Code: Select all

Contains a folder named 'CGF' which is just a stolen rebranded copy of: https://github.com/Markemp/Cryengine-Converter
Contains a folder named 'FST' which is just a stolen rebranded copy of: https://forum.xentax.com/viewtopic.php?t=17332
Contains a folder named 'TEX' which is just another copy of the stolen and rebranded tools from FluffyQuack: https://residentevilmodding.boards.net/thread/10567/pak-tex-editing-tool
Contains a folder named' VCS' which is just a stolen rebranded copy of: https://github.com/gibbed/Gibbed.Visceral

VCS
Contains a copy of the VCS folder from above, containing a stolen rebranded copy of:

Code: Select all

https://github.com/gibbed/Gibbed.Visceral

~~

And much more.. None of this is yours. All you did was change the icon of every program and hex edit the real authors names out and changed copyright dates.

You are nothing more than a copy-paste skid.

I'd vote to ban this dude, he's done nothing but try to profit on other peoples work as I outlined above. Nothing in this tool/installer is his.
Not to mention this is just the 'demo' version, I'm sure his full paid version is even more stolen stuff. I can basically guarantee he didn't make anything in either version.

He went through the effort to try to rename/rebrand everything as his to make himself look good and assumed people wouldn't notice.
He compiled code and just changed credits/names he found on GitHub or this site / similar sites.

Excellent job atom0s.

P.S.: I decided to keep the original post as-is so that people can see it and your analysis, I will add something on the title and at the beginning of the post.

You did an amazing research job at this atom0s I saw the post of this guy at the time he sign up and I was wondering why someone should offer stuff for money in the very first post which other skilled coder provide for free. Now thanks to your effort and intent to digging deeper your had revealed how incredible disrespectful that whole story actually is... He or they collect free provided stuff, not only the don't give credit to the coders no they even tried to remove any trace of it and if that's not ugly enaugh, they audaciously encounter the victims of fraud like in this case aluigi and I hope no one didn't paid those thefts

Just a heads up, this kid has continued to try and sell this garbage under different names.

He posted the "tool" over on XenTax as well, which I posted a link back to this thread as proof it's all stolen. His post was removed shortly after.
However, he reposted it again under a different name, but was again quickly removed and then he was banned.

He has since now released it again, on GitHub claiming it's now open source for the free version but still paid for the version that contains all the stolen things. (His free version still includes stolen/ripped scripts.)

He's now using the name: ArwgLacyProgramming
And renamed the tool to: Criextract-Tool

Again, this is made completely of stolen work by others that he is trying to profit off of.
Everything in this tool he is trying to sell is free, don't fall for this lame skids nonsense.
