I saw this thread https://zenhax.com/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=2886&p=16730&hilit=taiko#p16191from a few years ago but the person asking the question didn't respond with the DX build.dat these don't have the toc file thing only the dat files here is a couple of samples both being build.dat's . I used filecutter.bms with these.
Any help is appreciated thanks!

Sorry for replying to my own thread but I should mention you need to use this BMS script to rebuild the dat files.

There isn't with this game just a dat and that's about it.
It does appear the file is compressed with some form of zlib

Re: Taiko No Tatsujin Portable DX BUILD.DAT
Since there is table of information and the files are compressed with zlib and splitted in chunks, I suggest a feature of offzip:
No names obviously and guessed extensions.
I didn't check the LWARC files extracted but at least this is a starting point
Code: Select all
offzip.exe -a -c 0x40000 BUILD1.DAT output_folder
No names obviously and guessed extensions.
