Talisman Digital Edition

Post by adrian100889 »

Hello there folks! I'm trying to extract all the images and text from talisman digital edition, I have to say forehand that I'm not very informatically skilled...
I tried game extractor but only spits a bunch of bin files that It can't open.
Then I stumbled upon quickBMS and It seemed to be the tool I need but no thing still.. I used talisman prologue bms but no thing happened.
Probably I'm using the tool wrong, cand anybody help me? I have the game purchased on steam and also have the Plaza woodland edition wich is full with all DLC and in my language (printed edition is not, so I plan to download the expansions and print them)
If you need any more info please let me know, game assets seem to be on .dz format, and .bin once extracted but I cant mount thosE bin or read them.

UPDATE: I spent some time searching this forum's talisman related topics and I could extract some folders but all is .txt.enc format, I've seen some users eventually decode this files with some XOR thing, but they didn't posted how, anyway I don't know if this would give me onlyt text or text and images.
Since the full edition I have is Plaza-Woodland, I'm gonna try to contact them too in case they have any help, if so I'll post it here for everyone.

UPDATE PART 2: So I downloaded Plaza's most recen version: TALISMAN DIGITAL EDITION THE CLOCKWORK KINGDOM PLAZA and it comes with totally different files, it comes with the expansions in a simple .zip folder containing a tex.enc file and folders with images on DDS format.
The only opener I found is DDS viewer, wich shows me miniatures of the art in the cards and map but doesn't let me open them (the program instantly closes if I try) My thougts are that somehow it needs the text in the .enc file to mount the full card properly, but kill me if I know how to do anything like that...
I tried an online DDS converter and it spits an error in conversion too..
