Hi,
I would like to know if anyone knows how I can decompress and re-compress this .rsc file of the game "Warcraft Adventures: Lord of the Clans", because I want to edit the data it has.
There are programs that can decompile these rsc files but none are able to recompile them.
The header of these files is LBRC.

I did something, the format is not really the best:

Thanks for the script.
Here's what I found after testing it.
2 examples in the STR folder (Text)
2 examples in the BMAP folder (Images)
Files extracted with the "warcraft_adventures_lbrc.bms" script appear truncated when compared to those extracted with the war_res.exe extractor.
Is it possible to modify the script to correct this problem?
For the moment, I have not tried to re-import the files because of this truncated data problem.

At line 41 and 42 you can find these lines:
Can you try to remove them and tell me if it works better?
Code: Select all
math OFFSET + 0x10
math SIZE - 0x10
Can you try to remove them and tell me if it works better?

I gave a try. It's even worse than before.
For example, the text aren't even extracted correctly anymore.
On the other hand, the text seems to be truncated in the same way as before.
Extraction with the bms script modified according to your specifications generates a larger number with various extensions.

I know several free websites can help you change the file format. But if you are saying none of them made it, probably is something wrong with the file. Maybe some unnoticed bugs. However, I am not a pro at Warcraft Adventures: Lord of the Clans. I play more in World of Warcraft. I didn't have problems with any bugs, but with new purchases, yes. Many times I had fallen into scammer traps and lost money. The owners didn't secure the payment correctly. Last month my friend sent me this site with reasonable offers to gold and not only. Luckily it wasn't a trap, and everything passed perfectly. I got my gold in 15 minutes.
