Football Manager 3D models (*.sia)

Greetings Everyone!
First of all I would like to say that I am very new to modelling and scripting, so I'm still try to learn every little aspect of this universe.
Now, I'm going straight to the point: I recently spent some times trying to figure out a way to extract and open Football Manager 3D models files, but without success. My intention is to open the player kit model (maybe in blender) and then apply kit textures in order to see and test them on the 3D model. However all these Football Manager 3D models have an *.sia extension that has nothing to do with Silo 3D modeling because once you open them on Silo, nothing appears. I strongly suspect that the *.sia extension could stand for "Sports Interactive Animation" or something similar (Sports Interactive is the software house that produces the game), so the game developers might have used a proprietary software, but I hope there may be still hope to extract these files.
Anyone have some experience with this sort of files or already tried to edit Football Manager model files before?
I attached some files in order to allow you to test them.

Hi DJ Normality and thank you for your support.
I downloaded the free version of 3D Model Researcher, but I cannot see any 3D model if I tried to open the extracted file you posted or the sia files I attached before.
By the way, the base_head.obj file contains only the head model or the whole body? I'm particularly interested in the player shirt, shorts and socks model, so is there a way to merge all these models?

Yeah that was just the head. And the information I posted should help you in finding the model data. If you get stuck let me know but that's the layout.

Probably I'm missing something. I set the value like the ones in the screenshots, I loaded three different files to test them (base_head.obj, base_head.sia and player_shirt_normal_fit_untucked_short_sleeve.sia), but I cannot see the model. I tried the option Print, Render and View UV's, but I have an error: program cannot read data.
Does the Model Researcher free version have some limitations or did I make some mistakes?

Did you hit the "RENDER" button while in the 3D view? Seems like thats the step your missing. You must hit render every time you change a setting or it don't register. And I think your confused.. the .OBJ is what I produced from Model Researcher from your .SIA file. There is no need to open the .OBJ in Model Researcher. Open that in your 3D application program. Only open the unknown data files in Model Researcher.

Already tried it different times, but I get the error "Can not read data!".
Did you decompress the *.sia file using some script first?
Another question about the next step: when I will eventually manage to save the file with the *.obj extension, what is the best software to open it and to apply texture on it? Rhinoceros or Blender?

Then your settings are wrong somewhere either that or you have a different padding in the file, and I use Cinema 4D.

I will check and try again.
Meanwhile, could you please convert the following files in *.obj when you can? Both the high and medium folder?
They are:

- base_shorts.sia
- base_shorts_untucked.sia
- base_socks
- player_shirt_normal_fit_tucked_long_sleeve.sia
- player_shirt_normal_fit_tucked_short_sleeve.sia
- player_shirt_normal_fit_untucked_long_sleeve.sia
- player_shirt_normal_fit_untucked_short_sleeve.sia


So if I will not succed , I will have these files already converted at least.

You most likely open another file.
I checked everything works.

Well, if I open base_head.sia, the values posted are correct and I can see the 3D model. The problem is that I cannot see 3D models of the other files, so probably I need other coordinates. Unfortunately, I'm not an hex-editor expert and I faced some difficulties with other files, like player_shirt_normal_fit_untucked_short_sleeve.sia because with those values the program cannot read the data. I'm reading some tutorials on the internet, so I'm still learning. Meanwhile, if someone could find another values template for the other files, I'll be extremely grateful.

I'm sorry to bump again this thread, but I returned to inspect these files after a hiatus and I'd like to export these models once and for all.
I tried different settings, but I didn't understand how I should set the first offset. The only thing I know is that a vertex starts after the "00 00 80 3F" sequence and the float values range is between -1 and 1.
Someone can finally help me in exporting these models?
