The Saboteur - Loosefiles_BinPC.pack

Post by Dan McCarthy »

Hi guys. I'm a quite a beginner at this stuff, so anything I can tell you about this file is something you would be able to figure out pretty quickly.

This archive is full of random files that did not have a place in the other archives, so text files, odd pack files, scripts of sorts. Since it's a random cobbling of different sized files, I don't believe there's much in the header. It seems to be an offset to the next file, with what seems to be a sight bit extra data. I tried to follow the offset, and it seems to point to roughly the next file, but oddly it seems to be a few lines prior to the actual end of the file/beginning of the next. I have no idea why the offset would point to what seems to be such a strange location, so I figured I'd ask for some help.

I would sincerely appreciate any advice or a script to extract it.

It seems like the file is fairly simple, and if it is trivial, I have a PS3 and 360 version of it that seem to have slightly different contents. Otherwise, if I can find out what is wrong with (or what I am doing wrong) the offsets, I'd be more than happy to try to do these myself.

Thank you for reading this! I really appreciate any help and would love to get some advice or assistance with this.

Much appreciated,
Dan

I've included a couple images to show a bit what I'm looking at and trying to do.
