Help with editing text on Hakuoki Kyoto Winds (& Edo Blossoms) (UPDATE!)

EDIT: I now have a much better idea of what I need to do.
I attempted to get in contact with someone from the team who had patched Kyoto Winds in vietnamese, so apparently someone already figured out how to romhack the game to do what I want. Unfortunately, the lovely person who replied to me informed me that their hacker doesn't want the attention, and so they didn't want to give me any of their personal data, which is totally understandable!

But finding and picking apart the data that the patch has drew me much, much closer to the solution.

The repacker I'm using, one I got from Neptools (this game uses a lot of things pretty much identically to Neptunia Re Birth 1 & the Neptunia series) informs you when something has been changed inside the .pac files. I put the pac files I downloaded from the patch there, and eureka, I now have a list of everything that was changed.

The mgs? (That's what they were called, I think) and Init files are not the ones I need to change, only the .dat files, can't believe I didn't think of that earlier. Their hacker put the text for the translation below the one of the original dialogue, which is identical but has vietnamese phrases. Of course.
But that's not all: I also need to modify specific files in the SYSTEM_EN00000.pac one, which has .ffu and .gbin files. Which ones isn't really relevant, I have the information myself and it's a relatively long list, but ah, well:
Files I know were modified:

STORY_EN00000:
All the .dat files in the "script/en" folder, previously mentioned.
SYSTEM_EN00000:
All of the .ffu files in the "window" folder:

Now my focus is on .gbin and .ffu files, rather than .dat. Of course I found no answers that helped me, I was asking the wrong questions.

I think it's once again something the Neptunia modding community might have dealt with, but it's a bit more difficult to find.

Yes, I made an account just for this. How are y'all doing this fine day/afternoon/night? Well, I hope, since this entire place has been a huge help with a lot of things, so I'm just going to pop in and hope nothing bad happens.
Once the roadblock of how to extract and the game files had really been mostly cleared by simply doing some research and asking around, I have a problem that may or may not be complicated, I really cannot tell because I've hardly touched anything more difficult to translate than RPG games.
Point is, I have no idea where to start with changing the text for this game! "STORY_EN00000" is the .pac file that has a "script" folder and in it, there's two major things: the "en" folder, and the "msg" folder.
They both have the same English game-text, but I have a feeling that's not what I need to change, as they're differently structured, and just changing both of them simultaneously in any way will cause the game to break whenever running those scripts (AKA I have no idea what I'm doing and editing the English text does not work). Only those scripts though, as this is a visual novel - if you just load a save file that's not running the affected script for that portion of the game it'll work fine, and this of course does not affect anything like the menus or anything else, all that is stored elsewhere and I don't need to do anything there anyway because that's not what I want to change.
Inside the "en" folder are a bunch of .dat files that have a lot of what I think is encrypted text on the top, like so:

...Then a bunch of this!: It seems to have some cues, character names, etcetera, and overall is more "script-like". Which makes sense, "GLOBAL_DATA" is written on the top.

I apologize if I sound kind of dumb? I had never, ever done this kind of translation-work and certainly not on this type of game so everything seems very foreign. I'm probably one of the more tech-savvy people I know, but, well! That went flying out the window really fast, because I seriously have no idea what to do with any of this at all. I'm stumped! I'm basically that one Gravity Falls meme. I came into this expecting to understand it due to my background and ended up saying "There is nothing about this I understand."
There's nothing about this I know how to edit.

A quick search of the forum shows me that someone has already uploaded these files before, so I guess I'm kind of foolish for not starting there, but I still haven't found anything regarding their proper edition! I'm sorry!
Plus the full folder also includes some "init" files.
I have a bad feeling that I [i]might
need to edit something there, but I'm not sure where to start with that either. :P
Every other folder that I've checked has nothing to do with the game-text, as far as I know! It's just a bunch of character (cl3), texture (tid) and other files that are probably not editable with ease as they're quite specific (like the lipsync files!). The only things asides from that are the sound files, also useless for what I'm trying to do, I think, so I think it really is just script!
If only doing this was easier, fuhuh.[/i]
