Godhand PS2 Model file Research, + sample files
Hello, i'm interested in models from Godhand in ps2. the game archive seems to be supported by noesis but not the models.
the game is made by the guys who made Okami (Clover studio) so maybe the files format are the same.
I would be grateful if someone can look at this!
you can find samples in the archive and I can provide more files if needed.

Thank you!

Re: Godhand PS2 Model file Research, + sample files
First thing I noticed is that the file says TM3. I've seen these before and its a complex mix of animation data/models/textures.
Looking at the file in pixel format I can see that there are several textures. The end does show potential model data.
So when i looked at the data with Model Researcher I found this.
Not to sure what this is but you might..
Looks like the UV data starts just below that.
I did have a screenshot of the vertex but i must of overwrote the file. /
Depending on how bad you want this game and what assets you want I think its save to say this is going to take awhile.

Hellow!
Sorry for bumping this topic.
God hand's tm3(PS2 version) is maybe tree-map3.(multiple textures)
Noesis can load PS2 tm3.
But I can not load.(nothing is displayed).
So I deleted header.
(from first 54 4D 33 00 to before next 54 4D 33 00)
Then I can display textures one by one with Noesis.
The first picture is Shannon's textures.(game original)
But I can't find software to load map data.
(mapping on converted .3ds model data with .tex data)
Therefore I made symmetric textures from original.
And I did mapping by 3D model software by hand.
The next picture is Shannon and Contita.
(I edited for old Resident evil4 PC version)

Hi accell99sum, i managed to extract the the dat files that contains the tm3 and the md files. Can you point me to the script that converts the md files to 3ds.
Thank you!
btw your modding videos for RE4 are awesome !

I'm sorry I haven't checked this thread for a long time.
Thank you for watching my video.
The author of Quickbms script "god_hand_mdto3ds" is Luigi Auriemma.
Bu there is not the script on his "Quickbms" site.
Download link is as follows.(I uploaded Luigi Auriemma's script)
http://www.mediafire.com/file/jpwig1k5w ... d.zip/file
It is pretty hard work to convert one to one.(so many **.dat files).
Gean is pl**.dat.(but there are a lot of similar 3D model data also in el**.dat , em**.dat.)
And about other character , I recommend you ema6.dat.
ema6 includes 40 models and textures.(I guess for OP/ED dance cut scene)
If you can not convert well(somtimes happens) , you search "src" in md file by hex editor.
Delete the data before "src" and save then convert.(md data begins from src)

Re: Godhand PS2 Model file Research, + sample files
Hello, sorry to bump this thread.
I noticed that the .bms script that extracts the content inside god hand's .dat files doesn't work with all of them. Said script was posted by accell99sum in this thread.
As an example I tried to use it with the file called "em0d.dat" and I got this error:
It seems that the script has trouble extracting the 4th MD file inside em0d.dat so it stops working.
However, when I tried using it with the file called "ema6.dat" (the one accell99sum recommended) QuickBMS doesn't run into any problem.
I attached a .rar file with em0d.dat and the bms script that makes it possible to extract from those files.
EDIT: After further investigation I found out that the .bms scripts come from this website: https://web.archive.org/web/20170303232707/https://ps23dformat.wikispaces.com/God+Hand
I have no idea if Luigi created these scripts or not.

Check your disk space or the script is wrong
Last script line before the error or that produced the error:

Press ENTER or close the window to quit

Re: Godhand PS2 Model file Research, + sample files
oops if you managed to extract model and texture, who can make it available, for those who need it, make mods or skins, because there is only one mod on god hand ps2, which is a game called. Sifu
