data.bin & data.dir | Baroque (Wii) (SOLVED)

Post by swosho »

Except for audio and FMVs, all of the game data is stored in a single data.bin file, (edit:) there's also a data.dir file alongside it, which seems to be an index file. Edit 2: full data.bin.
If possible, could someone please take a look at it? Thank you for your time, and sorry if I'm bothering someone with these requests on this busy forum.

The sample files were made using the filecutter script.

Just in case, here's how the header looks like:

Unfortunately I don't know how the directory tree is properly built so remember to select 'r' when quickbms will ask you to overwrite the files.

Absolutely amazing, it works splendidly! Everything is extracted immaculately: proper paths, filenames, and extensions. I also immediately tried to make a simple mod and attempted to re-import — works without a hitch, and functions as expected in-game.
Thank you so much, this really made me feel like a kid on a Christmas morning!

Although you figured it out completely, in case you'd like to take a look at the full archive: here it is (275 MB).
