Is there any way to modify these files? I can modify them fine using notepad or hex editing or whatever, but that breaks the texts if I input anything logner than the original text. I would love to try my hand at a Spanish translation for this game. What program are you viewing the file with on that second screenshot?

Well I figured out, looking at ".l" files, that the header points at the starting location of each string so it can be modified. I've managed to insert text longer than the original and made the header point to new locations for subsequent texts and they work correctly. However, I don't have the smarts to create a tool or anything of the sort that automatically modifies the header or anything of the sort. :(

could you help me i'm trying to put the texts but the game always crashes after editing the texts. how did you make yours work?
