PC texts folder
This folder contain the unpacked texts. Pick one, and copy into the unpacked folder of one of the bin/rmdp files. If you edited the text file, the Alan Wake Tool can inject the texts from the txt file into the newly created bin2/rmdp2 file, if checkbox "Convert text file" is checked!
X360 texts folder
Same as PC texts folder, but this is from X360 version.
To run the Alan Wake tool, you need .Net 4.0 Framework: http://www.microsoft.com/download/en/de ... x?id=17851
Functions:
Convert text file - convert the txt file into bin, and put the file into the bin/rmdp
TEX/DDS converter
Export: convert the .tex files into .dds
Import: convert the .dds files into .tex, and the exported tex/dds remain untouched
Size fixer - If you want to make an Xbox360 Flash compatible bin/rmdp file, and the new bin2/rmdp2 files are SMALLER than the original, this fill up until the size of the original
Font fixer - YOU DON'T HAVE TO USE IT! This function use by the author only! This replace some accents to others.
File type unpack/repack - You can pick an extension from this combobox (readed from the opened bin file), and the tool will extract/repack the files with this extension only.
No text extractor function in the tool, to avoid the steeling of unofficial translations!
Alan Wake American Nightmare (AWAN) supporting
The tool is fully compatible with AWAN PC and Xbox360 version!
